The assimilation of ultraviolet light by biological molecules leads to reactions. In the previous days sunlight was used while in more recent days ultraviolet lamps are used. Organic photochemistry has proven to be an useful synthetic tool. Complex organic products can be received easily. Usage of organic photochemistry has begun only by integrity of the available mechanistic treatment, reactions which appear unlikely in low level understanding became understandable and available in terms of electronic excited-state consideration.
